The opportunity

We’re all here to help deliver greater retirement outcomes for our members. Your role supports UniSuper plan and deliver its strategic programme of new capabilities and technology transformation that drives improved member experiences.

You will be responsible for the delivery of,

• Implement new Business Requirements, using your data analytical skills and experience in using appropriate statistical algorithms
• Develop and code software programs, algorithms, models and automated processes to support business needs
• Utilise tools and techniques for the purposes of analysing data sets to provide insight
• Deliver quantitative improvements to the analytics and process modelling functions
  

About you

We are looking for an individual who has worked in fast moving transformation environment and is comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.

• Degree in statistics, applied mathematics or related discipline
• Demonstratable experience with data mining, mathematics and statistical analysis
• Familiarity with analysis tools/relational/non-relational data manipulation, machine learning, and scientific statistical analysis
• Solid understanding and experience with programming logic and various paradigms
• A proven strong understanding of statistical algorithms
• Experience in developing scripts in statistical programming language (R or Python)
• Strong working knowledge of Excel VBA and Power BI
• Strong TSQL skills for data discovery, data pattern recognition and data engineering
